Today was Greg's first day of preschool and he did great! There were no tears when I dropped him off and he even went potty all by himself at school! He is going to St. Luke's Little School, a Christian preschool here in Highlands Ranch. We took some pictures at home before we left and a few more outside his classroom with his friend Nathaniel who is also at St. Luke's, in the classroom next to his. The basket you see in the picture is a unique feature to Little School. The kids have to carry their individual baskets everywhere - parents are not allowed to carry them. They have their lunches, a change of clothes and any projects, paper work etc in those baskets. The school makes parents promise not to carry them because by having the kids carry them, they build upper body strength which coincides with their "handwriting without tears" curriculum.
On his first day, Greg got to bring a stuffed friend to school. When I asked him which one he wanted to bring, he chose his beloved "mouse." Uncle Tim and Aunt Heather bought him the mouse, along with the book "If you give a mouse a cookie" for his very first Christmas, when he was only 10 months old. He still sleeps with it every night and chose it to take to his first day of school. So sweet!
Anyway, here are a few photos from our big boy's first day of preschool. We love him so much and we're so proud of him!
