To the Tiniest....
Current mood: crushed
Category: Pets and Animals
To my little Tiny girl,
I can’t believe your life had to come to an end so abrubtly. I hope you know that I love you so much and miss you so much it hurts every moment I’m in the house without you. I miss your little scooter noises, the canned - food meow you used to do as I made your dinner every night, and I even miss the poop meow! I miss you sitting on the bathroom counter next to me every morning as I did my make-up, I miss you running down the stairs to greet me every day when you heard me come home from work. I miss seeing you make muffins on the soft throw blankets on the couch, and I miss you sitting on my lap while I watch TV. You were such a good little companion for me during some of the hardest, most lonely times of my life. You saw me through college, my first job after college, living alone, living with 2 boys (which was hell for you), and finally living in a normal, sane environment once I got married. I tried so hard to keep you healthy but to no avail. You had a good life, and I spoiled you as much as I possibly could! No one loved you as much as I did and I will never forget you my lil dude. I still find myself thinking about you and all your funny little nicknames, and you’ll never know how much I’ve cried, and the horrible pain I felt in my heart as you died in my arms. I love you like a mother loves a child and I’ll never forget you.
Love,
Mommy

Tribute to my Mom
Current mood: thankful
This is a tribute to my Mom. To one of the most brave and strong women I’ve ever known. Growing up with you as my mom taught me so much. Every year I grow older, I realize how much I’m like you and how much I’ve learned from you. You sacrificed so much for us growing up, were always supportive, involved, interested and you always cared, no matter how big, small or insignificant our troubles and joys were. Looking back, I could have never turned out to be the woman I am today, had I not had you for a Mom and role model.
To have overcome so much and remained so strong in your faith, you are my hero! I know how scared and worried I was this past year with the brain tumor endeavor, I can’t imagine what it must’ve been like for you. But you’ve sailed through with the grace of God, displaying faith at it’s finest. While there are menial, daily struggles that you overcome day in and day out, you have continued to maintain your faith and trust in God to deliver you.
You have taught me so much about life, I would be lost without your wisdom and insight. I am so thankful to have been born your daughter, for without you, I wouldn’t be me. You have been the shining example of what I hope to be as a mother and I look forward to trying to model your parenting someday soon!
With all that I am, I thank God for you and I love you with my whole heart!
You are truly my best friend! I love you Mom!!!

Tribute to my Dad
Current mood: thankful
This is a tribute to my father, the best Dad a kid could have. I am so grateful to have grown up with such an amazing man as a father, there are really no words to express the depth of my love, appreciation and admiration.
My Dad is the pillar of all that is good. He raised my brother and I in a strong Christian home, fulfilling the role of the spiritual leader of the home as found in scripture. He was the living breathing example of what it means to be a Christian. With so much to be proud of, he remains so humble. His quiet reserve, his soft spoken word is so comforting to me. I always know that no matter what, he will be there to support me, to love me, and to give of himself, even when he has no more to give. He is the most generous man I've ever known. Without him, I would not be who I am today.
Dad, I know I don't say it enough but I love you as Christ loves His church and His children. With unconditional, unceasing love, I am eternally grateful to God for allowing me the gift of being your daughter. I couldn't be more proud of you and every day, I strive to fill your shoes and live by your example of humility and Christ-like righteousness.
I love you Dad!
